Zack’s Photo Shoot

On Saturday we came home from the hospital with our cute little Zackary Thomas Johnson.  A few of the world’s greatest sister-in-laws were here to do do a photo shoot as soon as we got home.  Here are some of the super-cute pictures they took of baby Zack and our family.  (Thank you Brandy, Julie, Becky, and Raquel.)

The Zack Attack Is Here

Here is a short post. Gina and I were planning on heading into the hospital Wednesday (May 20) afternoon for a scheduled C-Section. The plans changed. We were contacted and notified of an opening at 7:30am that same day. We decided to go ahead and do it.

We arrived at the hospital at 6am, that’s a bit early for us. There was some prep and paperwork to be done. A little after 7:30am we headed into the delivery room. The procedure didn’t take long, even though it seemed longer than the first go around. At 8:17am Zack was born. He is 20in long and weighs 7lbs 8oz.

A new journey begins. What are we going to do with two crazy kids? ;)

Alex: “Dancing Queen!”

Alex has been in a “dance” class for the past couple of months.  She LOVES it (finally…it was painful in the beginning).  Unfortunately, it will end in a few weeks.  She’s going to be bummed.  Here a few cute pictures of my little dancing queen.  :)

Staying Home and Updating Home

Hello everyone!  This is Gina!  So…I usually let Nate handle the Internet-related work, but I decided that he’s too busy to do everything so I guess I better update the blog if I want it to happen in this lifetime.  :)

In January we FINALLY ripped out all the carpet on the main floor of our house and put in the hardwood floors I’ve been dreaming about for years.  Since then we’ve been trying to get a new “big girl” room set up for Alex and a nursery ready for the new baby.  I’ve been promising everyone pictures of the changes so here they are…

This is what Alex’s new “big girl” room used to look like.  It was her playroom and where we kept the piano.  The toys are now moved downstairs.  Thank you Barbara & Leigh Ann and JP & Michelle for all the toys!!!  The room would be empty without you!  And, thank you Aunt Rochelle for the cute “ALEX” lettering.  :)  (By the way, that’s a pull-up on Alex’s head.  Potty training has been a challenge for many, many months.  AHHHHHHHHH!)

This is now Alex’s bedroom.  Thank you Uncle Clair and Aunt Rochelle for the bed and all the help with the dresser!  And, thank you JP for helping Nate get that beast of a dresser into the bedroom (we all wondered if that was actually going to happen!).  Alex LOVES her new room…and especially her big bed.  :)

This is what the nursery looks like now!  Nate did the majority of the work (taping and painting) on the stripes.  Don’t they look great?  I think that “little dude” will like it.  :)

This is basically what the family room looked like.  (The drapes were different but I don’t have a picture of them.)

This is what the family room looks like now.  I still need A LOT of decorations for the walls, but my attention has been focused on the bedrooms.  I’ll get the family room decorated eventually (maybe before Christmas).  If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please help me!  I am quite handicapped when it comes to decorating!  :)  (Also, I don’t think the pictures do this room justice.  It looks better in real life.)  :)

So, now you know what I’ve been doing as a stay-at-home mom.  Good times!  :)

A Night With The Ducks

We, along with some friends, decided to go get something to eat and then visit the duck pond at WSU. We think Alex enjoyed it.

Gina and I are getting closer to the birth of our first son. I have some month old ultrasound images to show. As you can see, he's a thinker. ;)

She's All Growed Up

Here is of the latest pictures of Alex. She has grown up so much lately. She is a ball of fire, I'll tell ya. She gets prettier every day. Doesn't her red dress suit her personality? :)

6 Girls and 1 Boy

No one thought it could be done. How could 1 boy spend an entire night with 6 girls? ;) Well, here's proof that it happened. We ate at a salad bar and went ice skating. Everyone had a great time, even Alex. She didn't want to take the skates off.
